High-Stakes Facilitation
We give leaders and their stakeholders the freedom to have rich and powerful discussions.
We give leaders and their stakeholders the freedom to have rich and powerful discussions.
In most organisations, strategies are rarely designed and decided by one individual. Many stakeholders from different teams, divisions, functions, even different organisations altogether, need to come together to co-create and co-decide on the future direction of projects or organisations. And collaboration is a brilliant thing – it can give rise to the most innovative, ground-breaking, out-of-this-world, never-before-thought-possible ideas and solutions. But decision making by committee, on the other hand, is time and time-again proven to determine disastrous results.
The belief that consensus must be reached before a decision can be made is stifling, very often tweaking or side-lining the best ideas to please everybody. Inadvertently pleasing nobody when things go awry. That said, ploughing ahead with one idea that doesn’t get everyone’s buy-in can be equally dangerous, because stakeholder engagement is pretty essential when it comes to turning vision into reality. Luckily we have a solution to this conundrum. It’s called alignment. Instead of seeking agreement, we help your teams reach alignment – a decision everyone can embrace as if it where their own even if some people may have done something different if it was 100% their choice. These facilitated sessions create a very collaborative and innovative environment for groups of stakeholders to co-create amazing ideas, whilst making decisions in a robust way that is the beginning of a journey of seamless real-world delivery.
Who typically engages us
Members of senior leadership teams, executive teams or stakeholders responsible for identifying, creating and deciding on a project, programme, change, transformation, team or organisational strategy.
Research shows that more often than not the change or transformation initiatives that fail are the ones that fail to successfully engage the hearts and minds of the people they impact. People that are effectively engaged in a change programme have a transparent understanding of why the change is occurring and the context that bought it about. What’s more, they wholeheartedly believe in the change and are curious to learn and grow through the process, even in the face of uncertainty and not knowing all the answers. Your people “on the ground” are also your very best focus group for your strategy, and an innovation incubator for ideas of how things could be done differently or better. They are also often the best identifier of what hidden things need to be considered that you may not have forecast.
Our change engagement workshops empower those impacted by change and align their mindset and behaviours with the ambition of your change and transformation programmes. Rapidly uncovering problems that need to be tackled and co-creating action plans with your people so they wholeheartedly own and commit to them.
